Laboratories
Capacity: 20-25 students
Space equipped with specific technological and teaching equipment. There are usually individual workstations.
Commonly used for: Practices perform, theoretical-practical assessments, exercises or projects which require specific technologies. Students’ presentation of results. Theoretical and practice classes. Group mentoring. Exams and practical tests. It is used with the teacher in the theoretical-practical and practical classes or autonomously by students.
Experimental Sciences Didactics Laboratory
Workstations with technological equipment in the field of Natural Sciences, water and electricity intakes, fume cupboards and different science specific materials.
New technologies and IT Laboratory
Workstations with computers with the appropriate software for the competences and knowledges to be developed. Digital video projector. Audiovisual material (digital video cameras, audiovisual equipment, videos, TVs…).
Physiology and Biomechanics Laboratory
Workstations with technological equipment for physiology (treadmill, cyclo-ergometer, contact platform, heart rate monitors, lactate analyser, gas analyser, defibrillator) and for sports biomechanics (motion analyser, high-speed camera, levers simulator,…).
Sport Performance and Physical Condition and Welfare Laboratory

Workstations with drawing boards and technological equipment in the field of design, as well as group work tables and exhibition murals.

Music Room
Room with certain acoustic characteristics, in order to isolate the sounds. With different types of string, wind and percussion instrument to develop different subjects related to music.
Human Anatomy Laboratory (external – Faculty of Physiotherapy)
Workstations with equipment for the anatomic field (skeletons, joints models,…).
Sport Facilities
Capacity: 20-25 students
Sport space equipped with specific materials and necessary teaching equipment.

Gym
25x14m space with different materials related with physical education and sports (mats, badminton rackets, different colours and sizes balls,…).
There is a wireless loudspeaker system.
It is acoustically isolated and there are mirrors in the walls.
Tatami
20x14m space with cushioned floor and vertical anchorage sport material (rings, horizontal climbing,…).

Athletics Track
120m covered straight line with 4 running tracks, jumping and drop zones in the teaching Centre.
Outdoors 400m athletics track in the Galician Sports Technification Centre. These facilities can be used thanks to the collaboration agreement signed by the University of Vigo and the Dirección Xeral para o Deporte (Xunta de Galicia).
There is cutting-edge flooring in both facilities.
Sports Hall
45X25m multi-purpose sports facility with goals, baskets and volleyball pits, which allows by two adjustable curtains to divide the space in three equal parts with volleyball courts, mini-handball and basketball.
There is a wireless loudspeaker system.
Climbing Wall
Placed on the sports hall edge, being 6 metres long and 8 metres tall, with different difficulty levels.
Swimming Pool
Indoor pool, 25 metres long and 10 metres wide, with 6 pool lanes, in the Galician Sports Technification Centre. These facilities can be used thanks to the collaboration agreement signed by the University of Vigo and the Dirección Xeral para o Deporte (Xunta de Galicia).
Football field with artificial turf
105x70m outdoors sport facility in the University Campus. These facilities can be used thanks to the collaboration agreement signed by the University of Vigo and the Pontevedra Town Hall.
Weight Room
80 m2 sport facility with different body-building equipment to work on the different muscle groups. There are also specific training equipments for different sports (swimming, rowing, etc.).
Floating dock
Sport facility which enables rowing and canoeing boats to get inside and outside the river. Very close to the university Campus (500m)
Small lecture rooms
Capacity: 40-56 students
Small capacity room. Students remain sitting. The furniture can be moved and organised as required.
Commonly used for: Lectures in medium and small groups. Exams and other written and oral tests. Students’ presentation. Seminars and workshops. Screenings. Group works.
Rooms 4, 9, 10 and 11
IT resources of analogue and digital protection for multimedia presentations. Internet connection. Other teaching resources.
Rooms with individual chair desks.
Medium sized lecture rooms
Capacity: 70-80 students
Medium capacity rooms. Students remain sitting. The furniture can be moved and organised as required.
Commonly used for: Lectures in medium and small groups. Exams and other written and oral tests. Students’ presentation. Seminars and workshops. Screenings. Group works.
Rooms 1, 2, 7 and 8

Big lecture room
Capacity: 110 students
High capacity room. Students remain sitting.
Commonly used for: Lectures in big groups. Exams and other written and oral tests. Students’ presentation. Conferences. Screenings.
Rooms 5 and 6
IT resources of analogue and digital protection for multimedia presentations. Internet connection. Other teaching resources.
Rooms with fixed furniture.
Classrooms
Capacity: 10-15 students
Classrooms for small groups. Students remain sitting.
Commonly used for: Classroom close to the teaching staff offices. It is used as a support for the teaching staff as an office to individually meet students during the teaching activities developed in the classrooms, to hold mentoring meetings, etc.
Classrooms 1 and 2
Mobile analogue and digital projection equipment for multimedia presentations. Other teaching resources.
Room with big tables for group works. Internet connection.
Teaching Staff Offices
There are a total of 14 offices for the teaching staff in the centre in different spaces.
Conference room
The Conference room, with 135 seats, is used to celebrate academic and protocol ceremonies, conferences,…
Student Delegation
The representative of the students have a room equipped according to their needs.

Sport equipment warehouses
There are annexe warehouses in all the sport facilities to storage the material used in those subjects which have the facility as a base to the sport practice. All the warehouses have direct access to the facility.
Storage lockers
The students in the centre have closed lockers to save their materials and working tools and other personal belongings.
Other material resources in the centre
In addition to the infrastructures and resources in particular teaching and learning spaces there are different materials that can be used by teachers and students during their activities in the centre. The use of this material is controlled by the Faculty Concierge services by means of an established system which includes the users’ commitment to an adequate use. The available material is: laptops, digital projectors, video players, monitors, ladders, connexion wires, etc. However, students must afford the materials needed to develop the programmed assessments in the different subjects.
The Central Library in the Campus of Pontevedra offers the following services:

Opening hours
Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 9 pm
Extraordinary:
- Nights from Monday to Friday during exams period until 3 am
- Weekends from Saturday, 23rd of April to Sunday 29th of May from 8 am to 10 pm
Reduced:
- In August, Monday to Friday, from 8:45 am to 2:20 pm, closed in the afternoon.
General services
Wi-Fi connection
There is a wireless connection to the University network and Internet in the Faculty premises. All the University community members have access to this service via the password linked to their personal or university email.
On-line teaching resources
As a support to the on-site teaching activity, the University of Vigo makes available the IT platform FaiTIC for the teaching staff, with on-line resources developed for tele-training.
Photocopy service
There are photocopiers of unrestricted use on every floor in the centre; its use is managed through a code or a photocopy card. On the other hand, the central photocopy stand of the Campus is 100m far from the faculty, managed by an external company.
Cafeteria and catering services
There isn’t any cafeteria or catering service in the centre; to compensate this, there are coffee, drinks and food machines on the ground and first floors, available for everyone. On the other hand, two of the central cafeteria and catering stands of the Campus are 100m far from the faculty, managed by external companies.
