The Degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences at the University of Vigo is a 240 ECTS-credit programme aimed at training highly qualified professionals in the fields of physical education, physical exercise, sport, and health. - Physical Education Teacher: training teachers for formal and non-formal education, with particular emphasis on Compulsory Secondary Education and Upper Secondary Education (Baccalaureate).
- Physical and Sport Rehabilitation Specialist: rehabilitation, retraining, re-education, prevention, counselling, planning, design, development, and technical-scientific evaluation of work through physical and sport activities and physical exercise aimed at improving quality of life and health for individuals requiring special attention, groups, or teams with injuries, pathologies, or health problems, whether they compete or not, adapting to their characteristics and needs. This field includes the role of the personal trainer.
- Physical Conditioning Specialist in Sport Performance: counselling, prevention, planning, design, technical-scientific evaluation, development, and implementation of physical and sport activities and physical exercise aimed at maintaining, improving, developing, optimizing, and recovering physical fitness and coordinative abilities of individuals, groups, or teams, whether competition-oriented or not. This field also includes the role of the personal trainer.
- Sports Director/Manager: responsible for professional activities related to technical management, programming, planning, coordination, control, evaluation, supervision, and similar functions concerning sports centres, services, activities, and organisations, both public and private, applying the knowledge and techniques of sport sciences. The Sports Director/Manager is also responsible for coordinating, supervising, and evaluating the technical functions carried out by sports instructors and coaches.
